“Even if we are different, you are not alone so stand up.”
Those are the concluding lyrics of one of my favourite songs- ‘Stand Up’ by J- Min.
The world is full of two types of people, one desperately trying to be different and the other desperately trying to fit in.
What we tend to not realise is, when we’re trying to achieve this, we overlook the fact that as humans, we are already starkly different from each other. We forget that although we’re the same, we’re all already different.
This brings up another conflict. We think that because of this uniqueness, the ones trying to help us donot understand our perspective.
The point is, it doesn’t matter!
When life knocks you down enroute to your ambition, you take all that desperation, energy and frustration and stand up again.
When you feel like you’re doing something enterprising and revolutionary, you will never find anyone next to you. This is because they’re different from you. But this doesn’t mean you’re alone, and even if you are, learn to stand up again.
When you’re at crossroads, you feel like no one will understand, you’re not alone.
Out of so many things I’ve done in my life, the scariest thing has to be learning to stand up again, all by myself, and moving on. If anything, life will teach you how to survive, alone.
But that doesn’t mean you push away those who’re willing to help you get on your feet.
Because standing up also quite simply means, never giving up.
